Rara Lake is the biggest and deepest lake in Nepal. It is located between Jumla and Mugu District in the far northwestern part of Nepal. It is encircled beautifully by green hills and Rara National Park which makes a great trek. The snow-covered view of the Himalayan peaks also enhances Rara’s beauty.
Rara Lake with the surface of around 8 square kilometer and the perimeter 9 kilometer. The length of the lake is 5 kilometers and it is 2 kilometers wide, the altitude around 3060 meter and the max. depth is 167 meter.
